Positions through Contextualising – Progress work

Poem:

I see a person
I see a person buying lilies on a sunday
An artists playing on streets
I see lovers under a tree
I see newspaper is free
I see someone reading in a park
But I also see people fighting for peace
I see a woman who loves yoga
But loves her dog more
Friends drinking on the streets
In a cafe on my bucket list
A chef with herbs
I see a cat sitting sitting in a window
A woman with a hat
I see a person going to work
But also someone who cannot
I see people
In a cab
In a suit
In a uniform
On a bicycle
On a scooter
On a bus
On a lime
On a drift board
I see a building made of bricks next to a building made of glass
I see a woman from a window living her dream
An old man cooking his favorite meal
I see a person using prada, gucci and givenchy
I see the royal mail, the royal buildings and the royal guards
I can see people wearing endless iterations of adidas
I see sculptures in old buildings
A mother of  twins
I see on roofs that pigeons meet
A woman running on the busiest street
I see a person from a country I have never visited
But also from country I cannot visit
I often see vandalism, theft, shoplifting, and hunger
But in this chaos,
a child’s laugh breaks through,
I see cherry blossoms against a sky blue
I see dogs run up to me
There is beauty in the ordinary
If you only wish to see
